Booking Your London Hotel for Vacation

You will most definitely want to reserve your London hotel room in advance. In less busy locations, you may be able to take chances. However, when it comes to major tourist destinations, you will not want to risk not being able to find a room. The further in advance, the better, as even reservation space can disappear if you wait too long.

 

If you will be traveling during the warmer months, you may find it harder to get a good deal on a room unless you make your reservation early. This is the busy season for tourists, as everyone wishes to tour the sites without being wet or cold. There is nothing wrong with visiting during the busy season, but keep the need for accommodations in mind if this is when you will be visiting London.

 

Your London hotel options will be many if you plan in advance. Planning ahead will also allow you to get the lowest priced rooms. If you need to stick to a budget, it is highly advisable that you find out how much your room is going to cost. This, along with your transportation costs, could very well eat up a large portion of your budget if you do not plan carefully. Remember also that tours and dining will add up. If you choose a lower priced hotel, you will have more money left over for fun.

London Kings Cross – 5 Hotels Within Walking Distance

For visitors arriving into London Kings Cross railway station, they may wish to hire a car from one of the national car hire firms which are often located on Pentonville Road. Please remember and bring along your driving license, passport and credit card with you to the branch when collecting your low cost car rental.

Alternatively you may wish to stay in one of the many hotels which are within walking distance of Kings Cross Station.

1. Comfort Inn Hotel
This hotel is within a few minutes walk of the station. Visitors will be able to locate the London hotel on Saint Chad’s Street. There are over fifty rooms with en suite facilities. This is a small intimate hotel with just twenty three bedrooms with twenty of the rooms offering en suite facilities. A mere seven minute walk from the train station to the hotel. Free WiFi is on offer, along with internet access, currency exchange,fax and photocopying facilities.

5. Excelsior Hotel
A five minute walk from the train station will find you in Argyle Street, London.
The hotel has thirty five rooms over five floors. Inside the hotel amenities on offer are tourist information, fax facilities, hair dryer, radio, TV, internet, bar and free parking in the hotel car park.

London Edgeware General Information

You may decide to hire a car from London Heathrow Airport or London Gatwick Airport, after you land in the UK. Or you perhaps catch the London Heathrow Express and collect a car from London down town.

Depending on your travel plans. You may choose to stop over in London for a few days and visit the many tourist sites on offer in the capital.

One of the options may be to stay just outside the main hub of the city. A little over thirty minutes drive away in an almost straight line is London Edgware. From here you can rent a car, take a bus, the metro or a train into the centre of London.

A short drive down Edgware Road which is on the A5 road will lead you eventually to Oxford Street in London.

Both of these modes of transport are within a few minutes of the High Street in the district.
